The striped album below is one I (Jane) completed, I gathered pictures of my husband and I as a couple through the years and put them in date order and added various items and dated them all, the kids love looking through it and our friends and family have had a good laugh at the fashions and hairstyles, a true memory album. For the Drama album we were supplied with some photos, handdrawn pictures & hand written letters from children of the group and from other members of the group we received newspaper clippings, postcards, posters, leaflets and beautifully written heartfelt letters for the couple who were retiring. From this we reformatted the letters into script font and printed onto textured paper, some using a paperdyeing technique. We sourced and added themed ,co-ordinating trims, we embossed, diecut, frammed, trimmed, glued & added some appropriate pictures. We reduced the size of the leaflets and posters to make mini tags & embellishments and added these throughout the album. We made hidden pockets, metal masks and much much more, the album was finished off with a tassle & photo, placed in a brown velvet & gold bag (made by janGles) with co-ordinating trim. We love doing professional scrapbooking, although they do take many hours to complete, each project is an total pleasure to do as each one is unique and every page different. The ruby album was completed as a gift for a Ruby wedding anniversay, claret card was used for the backing pages to complete the theme. The album was filled with pictures ranging over the 40 years of marriage, each picture grouped and displayed thoughtfully to enhance the memories. In addition, I sourced appropriate poems & quotes to add more depth and meaning to the gift. The album was received with pleasure by the "bride & groom" , looking back over the last forty years & reading the text provided a variety of mixed emotions to both.
